Il progetto Life Petrignano sui Sistemi integrati di gestione del territorio dell area di Petrignano: nuovi modelli contro l inquinamento da nitrati, ha preso l avvio nel settembre 2001 con l obiettivo di diffondere prassi agronomiche e modelli di gestione del territorio più rispettosi dell ambiente e della salute di chi ci vive. L incontro realizzato a Perugia nei giorni 11-12 dicembre 2003 ha voluto rappresentare un momento di confronto e scambio tra l esperienza locale e quelle realizzate, o in corso, in ambito nazionale o comunitario. Da questo incontro è scaturita la pubblicazione Sistemi agricoli e inquinamento da nitrati.
The Life Petrignano project Integrated management systems for the Petrignano area: new models against nitrates pollution, financed by the European Commission and Umbria Region Government, was initiated in September 2001 with the aim of spreading agronomic practices and models for managing the area which were more respectful of the environment and health of its inhabitants. The meeting held in Perugiaon December 11-12, 2003 was an opportunity to compare and exchange the experiences of those involvedin the application of the EU directives locally with the experiences, past and present, of those operatingelsewhere in Italy and other European countries to apply the Nitrates Directive (91/676/EEC) and the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC).The conference was centred on this question: Can we find any ecologic agricultural practices which are in harmony with the limits dictated by legislation, the types of crops, and the technical and scientific experience acquired with real sensitivity to environmental problems?
